Arranging a funeral
Every funeral, arranged personally.
From a full chapel funeral with the whole village there, to a simple cremation with no service at all, every funeral we arrange is shaped by the family, and by the person who has died.

How it works
What happens, step by step.
We bring them into our care.
Whenever you call, day or night, we come and bring them to our chapel of rest in Welshpool. From that moment they are looked after by our family.
We sit down with you.
At our office, or in your own home if you prefer, usually within a day or two. We talk about the person, what they would have wanted and what you would like, and we explain every choice and its cost. You will have a written estimate before anything is agreed.
We take care of the arrangements.
Booking the church, chapel, crematorium or cemetery. Arranging the minister or celebrant. Notices in the paper and online, the order of service, and any donations, and a local florist for the flowers. You do as much or as little as you want to.
Time to say goodbye.
You can visit them in our chapel of rest, by appointment, as often as you would like. Bring clothes, photographs, letters, anything you would like to go with them.
The day itself.
We are with you from start to finish, so that you can be with your family. Afterwards, we look after the ashes, donations and anything else that follows.

With you from the first call to the last mile.

Your choices
Every part can be shaped to the person.
Here are some of the things families decide with us. None of them is required.
The coffin
From cardboard and willow to solid oak, every one priced.
See our coffinsFlowers, or donations
A spray in their colours, family flowers only, or a collection for a charity they loved.
Floral tributesWho leads the service
A minister, a celebrant, or someone from the family. In English, Welsh, or both.
Faiths and traditionsMusic and words
Chapel hymns sung by everyone, a favourite song, a poem read by a grandchild.
The journey
Leaving from home, passing a favourite place, or a procession through the village.
What they wear
Their best suit, a favourite jumper, their football shirt, and anything to go with them.
Things you can do yourselves
Some families want to be closely involved, and we welcome that. You can help to dress them, carry the coffin, lead the service, arrange flowers from your own garden, or print the order of service yourselves. Tell us what you would like to do, and we will make it possible. You only pay for what we do.
Whenever you are ready.
If someone has died, please call us at any hour and we will come to you. For anything else, you are welcome to call, write or call in.
